Each year provides a fresh slate of rides for us gearheads to get excited about. What 2025 cars coming out are the most interesting? Here are eight to keep your eye on throughout the year.
1. Dodge Charger Daytona EV
Forget everything you knew about the Dodge Charger. Now, a new generation of this muscle car has emerged. This year, the Stellantis brand is unveiling its second rendition of the electric Charger. Considering the legacy of this vehicle, it’s one of the most anticipated 2025 electric cars. What should you expect?
The primary difference between 2025 and 2024 is the four-door sedan. Last year, the car was only available in the two-door variety. With this model, you get 241 miles of range from the Daytona Scat Pack battery and 308 miles from the R/T trim. The car doesn’t lack speed, as you get up to 670 horsepower.
2. Ferrari EV
Ferrari’s electric vehicle (EV) is among the most surprising 2025 cars. The Italian manufacturer has relied on gasoline since 1939 and become a premier luxury sports car manufacturer internationally. Even old dogs can learn new tricks, as Ferrari has said its EV could debut late in 2025.
There aren’t many public details about this Ferrari, though it will, by default, be among the top electric cars in 2025. The automaker has constructed an EV facility close to its Maranello campus, adding to the rumors of an electric Ferrari. How much will it cost? Reports indicate it could exceed $500,000, so get your checkbook ready.
3. Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray
If you like electric cars, this year is the one for you. Chevrolet is another brand looking to the future by making the Corvette a hybrid EV. With the E-Ray, there’s a new generation of American sports cars. The future is bright for the Corvette, as it wields advanced technologies for better rides.
Considering the $107,000 starting price tag, the car doesn’t come cheap. However, it’s worth the price of admission if you want 655 combined horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. A hybrid powertrain doesn’t compromise power, as it holds its own against the best Corvette models from the past racing on the road.
4. Honda Prelude
Honda is famous for long-lasting vehicles that get you from point A to point B. After all, it annually makes the Consumer Reports most reliable rankings by year’s end. This year, Honda is upgrading its sophistication with the 2026 Prelude. The model ceased production in 2001 but will return as one of the best cars coming out in 2025.
The sixth generation of the Prelude will have a hybrid-electric powertrain and arrive in the U.S. While some speculated it would only be in Europe, we’ll see it on dealership lots in 2025. The 2025 Prelude is Honda’s next attempt at making sports cars, so the aftermarket touch could make it unforgettable.
5. Lucid Air Grand Touring
The Lucid Air made waves as the EV with the strongest battery capacity. With over 500 miles of range, you can easily take a road trip with your EV. Now, Lucid is back to build on its success. 2025 will see more electric cars like the Lucid Air Grand Touring (GT) and the Pure models.
The GT model is one of the premier 2025 cars coming out. If you want maximum range, the GT has you covered with a 512-mile capacity. What about the horses under the hood? Put your foot on the pedal and enjoy 819 horsepower. Then, when it’s time to charge, you can get 200 miles in just 12 minutes.
6. Polestar 5
Polestar has quickly risen in the EV rankings, as its battery-powered automobiles are high in power and reliability. The 2025 rendition will be the Polestar 5, a full-size sedan. What sets this vehicle apart from the past cars? We’re looking forward to recyclable materials and even more juice in the motor.
The Polestar 5 will construct the seats using wasted materials, as they contain 100% recycled plastic bottles. While sustainability is necessary, the car doesn’t set power aside. Polestar says the fifth generation will have 884 horsepower and 664 lb-ft of torque. Therefore, it will compete with the best 2025 sports cars for power.
7. Ram 1500 REV
For a few years, the Ford F-150 Lightning stood tall as the best electric truck on dealership lots. However, the Ram 1500 REV will enter the conversation in 2025. This automobile is Dodge’s first crack at the electric truck market, and its zero-emission platform has plenty of promise. Where else can you get toughness and sustainability?
There are different trims for the Ram 1500 REV, though even the standard ones are welcome sights. The standard range is around 350 miles, which is well above average for modern EVs. With the extended-range battery pack, you get up to 500 miles. How about the towing? Carry up to 14,000 pounds of boat or trailer with the new Dodge Ram.
8. Porsche Panamera
Plenty of electric cars are coming out in 2025, though some new ones wield internal combustion (IC) engines. Which one stands out the most? Look no further than the Porsche Panamera. The 2025 edition boasts up to 670 horsepower, which Kelley Blue Book (KBB) ranks as the highest among full-size sedans.
The 2025 Panamera presents what you’d expect from the upper echelon of luxury vehicles. When you put summer tires on, this cruiser can reach 169 miles per hour. The five-second zero-to-60 speed might leave room for improvement, but it’s impressive. New features in this year’s Porsche include an adaptive air suspension and even more comfort in the back.
Anticipating the 2025 Cars Coming Out
When do 2025 cars come out? The best automobiles this year will reveal themselves throughout the year. With all the terrific vehicles coming, 2025 is going to be a monumental year for the auto industry. While EVs headline the lineups, there are plenty of options for everybody.
Which one are you most excited about? The Ferrari announcement has grabbed headlines because of its place in the luxury car industry. However, the most underrated car of 2025 might be the Honda Prelude. The Japanese automaker is adding even more muscle to its strong lineups with this automobile.
